It seems like every year there are products that go viral. Books that sell millions from unknown authors, products that hit the market and take off like manufacturers dream of, politicians who defeat their opponents with little or no explanation. What causes it? Viral momentum. There are products that take off and truly hit viral status with no interaction from the company, manufacturer, or politician. However, when you study what truly happened, the far greater percentage was masterfully executed to create viral momentum.
These viral marketing strategies are held very close to the vest by those who orchestrate this momentum for a living. It has taken us the better part of 10 years of digging, unearthing small pieces and finding those willing to share. Like the Neiman Marcus recipe for chocolate chip cookies, we now have the recipes and are able to influence perception so that we can create viral momentum and move products into the public eye like never before.
